Future Goals and Career Interests

My future goals in education are to deepen my understanding of engagement in the classroom.  I spent 6+ years studying literature because I love literature.  It would be a shame if that love for reading and creative thought did not transfer over to a single student in my classroom.  

That said, my goal is to continue to develop lessons that engage, integrate technology, and prepare students for the future.

I hope in the next few months to begin developing curriculum for the district I work in.  In the next few years, I then hope to move into becoming an Academic Specialist or Reading Interventionist.  It is at those levels that I can help impact even greater numbers of students than I already do.
